Seaton Village is a historic neighbourhood located immediately north of downtown Toronto. Its borders include Bathurst Street to the east, Christie Street to the west, Bloor Street West to the south, and Dupont Street to the north. Its central location coupled with its mix of Victorian-style homes and proximity to the University of Toronto - St. George Campus has made it popular with both families and students alike. Despite its urban surroundings, Seaton Village has retained a small town feel, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a peaceful oasis within the city. Seaton Village is easily accessible by streetcar, bus, and subway, with Bathurst Station on Line 2 of the subway being located right in the neighbourhood. Seaton Village’s history dates back to the early nineteenth century, though it looks very different today. In fact, now, it is known as being home to Toronto’s vibrant Koreatown. The Bloor Street West corridor of Seaton Village is home to a wide range of Korean shops, restaurants, grocers, and karaoke bars. You can also find plenty of independent shops and boutiques on Bathurst Street, along with nightclubs on Bloor serving the student and young professional population. In the centre of Seaton Village lies Vermont Square Park, which features a children’s playground, a hockey arena, and an off-leash dog area. The St. Albans Boys’ and Girls’ Club also operates out of the park which offers a range of programs for families and children of all ages. Lastly, Christie Pits Park is another popular spot in the neighbourhood, giving residents ample green space to choose from.
