Why do you say 'up to 1.5% cashback' when buying and selling?
There is no catch. The reason we say ‘up to’ is that we share a portion of our commission from the buy sale with you, and that amount of commission depends on the home seller, which could vary for each listing. When you buy and sell with Wahi, we will take a minimum of 1% of the home purchase price as our buyer agent commission (we need to get paid too!) . We will give the rest of the commission to you in cashback. The commission amount is clearly listed on each home for sale on Wahi as Cashback. Your Wahi Realtor will always inform you of the available cashback amount before you buy so you always know what you’re getting back.
For example, If the seller offers 2.5% to the buying agent (Wahi), we would take 1% (if buying and selling) and give the rest (1.5%) to you after you close on the home. But if the seller is only offering 2% to the buying agent, Wahi would still take 1% and we would share the additional 1% with you.
Note that if you are only buying with Wahi, we will take a minimum of 1.5% of the home purchase price and give the rest of our commission to you in cashback. Learn more here.
How does Wahi provide great Realtor service for selling and buying a home AND give cashback?
We never sacrifice on service. The only difference with Wahi’s tech-enabled model, is when you are buying your home and going on showings, Wahi Realtors won’t pick you up and drive you to showings. Instead, a Wahi team member meets you directly at the properties. You can easily book showings in the Wahi app, and we’ll take care of the rest. By streamlining the process, we save time and pass those savings back to you as cashback!
*Cashback amount is based on an average home sale price of $1,000,000 and a 2.5% seller commission, which means Wahi would give back 1.5% or $15,000 in cashback after close.
