Trinity Bellwoods is one of the most happening neighbourhoods in Toronto, and it’s located less than ten minutes from the downtown car. Bordering Bathurst Street to the east, College Street to the north, Queen Street West to the south, and Dovercourt Road to the west, the area is chock-full of trendy restaurants, bars, and cafes, not to mention a wide range of one-of-a-kind boutiques. The Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art is also located here. Residential streets in the area feature a mix of historic townhouses and brand-new condos. One of the neighbourhood’s main attractions is Trinity Bellwoods Park, perhaps one of the city’s most popular and picturesque parks. A great place to hang out and have a picnic, Trinity Bellwoods Park also has several tennis courts, baseball diamonds, volleyball courts, a children’s playground, and a wading pool. In the winter, there is even an artificial ice skating rink. Plus, they often play host to markets, marches, and festivals and street vendors line the perimeter most weekends. In other words, there’s always something going on at Trinity Bellwoods Park. Beyond the park, the area has a fascinating history, with a large Portuguese and Brazilian population residing there. Fun fact: Trinity Bellwoods Park was originally home to the University of Toronto’s Trinity College. The building that comprised the college was built in 1852 and remained there for just over a century. Wondering how to get to Trinity Bellwoods?
