The Annex is a lively, bustling neighbourhood located next to the University of Toronto - St. George Campus. It is part of Toronto’s downtown core, stretching from Bathurst Street to the west, Avenue Road to the east, Bloor Street West to the south, and Dupont Street to the north. Despite its small size, The Annex always has something opening. Due to its proximity to the university coupled with its locale on Bloor Street, there is tons to do and explore here. Beyond the University of Toronto - St. George Campus, there are a plethora of other nearby attractions, like the Royal Ontario Museum (one of the largest natural history museums in North America), Casa Loma, the Royal Conservatory, and the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema. You’ll also find plenty of clubs, bars, restaurants, art galleries, book stores, theatres, and shops in The Annex. For upscale shopping, you’ll only have to walk a few blocks east on Bloor Street, and you'll be in the middle of Mink Mile. In addition to all the urban amenities you could ever want, The Annex also features several beautiful old homes on many of its side streets. A wide mix of Torontonians call The Annex home, from students and faculty members of the university to young professionals. In terms of transit, The Annex couldn’t be better situated. Residents can take advantage of three TTC subway stations, Bathurst, Spadina, and St. George stations, as well as countless streetcar and bus routes.
