Parkdale is one of the trendiest, most vibrant, most multicultural neighbourhoods in Toronto. Located in Toronto’s west end, the area boasts proximity to both Liberty Village and Roncesvalles, as well as Lake Ontario. In fact, the neighbourhood borders Lake Ontario to the south, which means plenty of beach access, along with several waterfront beaches and parks, like Marilyn Bell Park and the Lakeshore Boulevard Parklands. Anyone who's ever been to Parkdale knows the area is known for its quirkiness and charm. Featuring a mix of Victorian-style homes and budget-friendly apartment buildings, there is something for everyone. This is evidenced by its demographic, which includes young professionals, families, and even seniors. The area seamlessly blends the old and the new. It also attracts people from all socioeconomic backgrounds, as it is home to a broad variety of shops and restaurants, ranging from cheap eats to fine dining establishments. Further, colour and art abound here, with galleries lining the streets and murals painted on nearly every street corner. Go up to Queen Street West and you’ll find restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and bakeries in abundance. Other nearby attractions include Sunnyside Beach, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, and High Park, which is a must-visit at any time of year but especially during cherry blossom season in the spring. Parkdale is served by TTC buses and streetcars and is only a stone’s throw away from the Exhibition GO Station, which connects the neighbourhood with the Greater Toronto Area. It’s also located along the Gardiner Expressway.
