Deer Park is a north central Toronto neighbourhood boasting a mix of urban and residential amenities. Immediately north of Summerhill, roughly 10 minutes by car from downtown Toronto, is where you will find Deer Park. The area is bound by Farnham Avenue to the south, Yonge Street to the east, Avenue Road to the west, and Chaplin Crescent to the north. The picturesque neighbourhood contains several parks, including Oriole Park and part of David A. Balfour Park. It also encompasses St. Michael’s Cemetery and is next to the prominent Mount Pleasant Cemetery. You’ll also find part of the popular Kay Gardner Beltline Trail in Deer Park. This neighbourhood just south of midtown Toronto provides an ideal blend of entertainment, business, shopping, and education, with multiple schools nearby, along with attractions like Casa Loma, and shops near Yonge and St. Clair and at St. Clair Centre. Meanwhile, if it’s green space you’re after, Deer Park doesn’t disappoint. From Rosehill Resevoir’s four-acre reflecting pool and waterfall to the Vale of Avoca Ravine’s many hiking and walking trails, you will quickly discover that Deer Park is a green oasis in the middle of Toronto. Further, when it comes to real estate, Deer Park was first built up in the early to mid nineteenth century, and many of the original homes remain to this day. This means that buyers will find a range of beautiful, historic homes here. That said, newer townhouses have also been built, as well as a few luxury condo buildings, meaning there’s something for nearly every type of homebuyer.
