The Most and Least Expensive Neighbourhoods in the GTA

TORONTO, ONT. — June 24, 2026 — New data from digital real estate platform Wahi reveals the most and least affordable neighbourhoods to buy a home in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In May 2026, Lawrence Park, in Old Toronto, topped the charts as the most expensive neighbourhood with a median sold price of just over $3 million. Meanwhile, Flemingdon Park, North York, an area dominated by high-rise condos and apartment-style housing, ranked as the most affordable, with prices around $425,000.

The analysis highlights striking contrasts between the GTA’s pricier communities, such as Moore Park, Ledbury Park and Rosedale and more accessible pockets in Brampton, North York and Etobicoke, where the higher concentration of condos continue to draw first-time buyers.

The report offers a detailed snapshot of the GTA’s five most expensive and most affordable neighbourhoods, reflecting how location, housing type, and lifestyle amenities shape affordability and buyer demand across the region.

Wahi economist Ryan McLaughlin is available to comment on what these findings reveal about evolving buyer behaviour and housing trends as we move into the summer market.
