News Release The Most and Least Expensive Neighbourhoods in the GTA – TORONTO, ONT. —March 11, 2026 — New data from digital real estate platform Wahi reveals the most and least affordable neighbourhoods to buy a home in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In February 2026, Eastlake, Oakville, topped the charts as the most expensive neighbourhood with a median sold price of just under $2.5 million. Meanwhile, Queen Street Corridor, Brampton, an area dominated by high-rise condos and apartment-style housing, ranked as the most affordable, with prices around $400,000. The analysis highlights striking contrasts between the GTA’s pricier communities, such as Kingsway South, Hogg’s Hollow, and Ledbury Park, and more accessible pockets in Brampton, North York and Mississauga, where condos and townhouses continue to draw first-time buyers. The report offers a detailed snapshot of the GTA’s five most expensive and most affordable neighbourhoods, reflecting how location, housing type, and lifestyle amenities shape affordability and buyer demand across the region. Wahi economist Ryan McLaughlin is available to comment on what these findings reveal about evolving buyer behaviour and housing trends as we move into the spring market. The full report, with downloadable charts, is available here.
