Tracy Hennekam, a Wahi Partner Realtor and Broker of Record and owner of Royale Town and Country Realty Inc., in Lindsay, Ont., has been serving clients in the City of Kawartha Lakes since 1999.

What do you love most about working as a REALTOR®?

What I love most about being a Realtor is helping first-time homebuyers. There’s a lot that goes into the first time [you buy a home] — from understanding timelines, conditions of houses, and all the different insurances, to what to look for in the condition of a house and understanding all the elements of the offer. I like when I see that sparkle in their eye when they finally get it.  

Tell us about your experience getting matched with a client through Wahi’s AI-powered recommendation system.

Getting matched with a Wahi client through the system was easy. [Clients] are quickly matched with a Realtor in the area where they are looking for a home. I receive a text that there is a match, and then using the system, I can see who they are and how to respond to them (by email or by phone/ text message.) 

What steps were involved to become a Wahi Partner Realtor? 

To get involved with the partner program, there was some vetting. Wahi isn’t just looking for the top agent in the area — they also wanted to make sure the agent has what it takes to be a preferred partner, such as an on-line presence and good reviews. Wahi doesn’t partner with any Realtor; they want a trusted Realtor® who is the right [person for] the buyer or the seller.

How did you find the process of being matched?

The process was painless. Wahi also vets the buyer or seller. Often I receive a summary of Wahi’s conversation with the client, which makes my job easier and saves me time.
