Emily has over eight years of writing and editing experience. Her first job out of university was working as a Content and Social Media Editor for WedLuxe Media, a luxury wedding publication based in Toronto. After three years of developing copy for various marketing channels at WedLuxe, she began freelancing full-time. During this period, Emily wrote landing pages, short and long-form blog posts, social media captions, and product copy for brands in the lifestyle and fashion space. For the past three years, she has worked as a copywriter for marketing agency Rush Ventures while continuing to freelance on the side.
Emily studied History and English at McGill University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree. After that, she went on to earn her Master of Arts in History at the University College London in the United Kingdom.
While a copywriter for Rush Ventures, Emily received the Quality Excellence Award, which recognizes team members committed to delivering work of the highest quality and maintaining high standards.
Writing for a destination wedding magazine. Emily got to travel to the Cayman Islands, stay in a luxury resort, and help out on the set of multiple photo shoots in beautiful locations all across Grand Cayman.

Emily loves learning about different brands and topics and enjoys the challenge of adapting her writing style to meet each new audience she writes for. She also finds it rewarding to help readers better understand complicated or intimidating topics.
She would run a bakery (cinnamon rolls and peanut butter brownies are her specialty).
You can find her attending a fitness class in the city (spin and reformer pilates are her current favourites), hiking mountains all over the world, and volunteering at a local dog rescue called Save Our Scruff.
