If you’re looking to live in the heart of Toronto’s downtown core, CityPlace might just be perfect for you. This urban Toronto neighbourhood fits snugly between the CN Tower to the east, Bathurst Street to the west, Lake Shore Boulevard to the south, and Front Street West to the north. Despite its small size, you’ll never get bored in CityPlace. With easy access to the Fort York National Historic Site, the Rogers Centre, the CN Tower, Scotiabank Arena, and Lake Ontario, there is something happening at all times in CityPlace. The area is located immediately south of the Entertainment District, meaning residents can also take advantage of all the shops, restaurants, bars, clubs, and cafes located on King Street, Adelaide Street, Richmond Street, and Queen Street. Meanwhile, even though it’s a small neighbourhood, CityPlace still manages to pack in plenty of outdoor space. Canoe Landing Park is a pillar of the community, which is an 8-acre urban park featuring multiple sports fields, walking trails, and outdoor art sculptures. Northern Linear Park and Roundhouse Park are also nearby, as is the waterfront, which contains numerous trails and parks, like HTO Park West, Toronto Music Garden, and the Spadina Quay Wetlands. When it comes to transportation, residents have plenty of streetcar and bus options. Union Station is also within walking distance, which is the city’s central transit hub with access to Via Rail, the TTC subway, the Union-Pearson (UP) Express, and GO Transit. Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is also within walking distance of CityPlace. Since CityPlace is a master-planned neighbourhood, it’s only going to continue growing. Right now, housing is largely made up of luxury high-rise condominiums. In fact, there are over 30 residential towers established here already, not to mention several libraries, schools, and a community centre. Ultimately, if you want to be in the centre of the action, consider moving to this new, redeveloped Toronto neighbourhood.
