Richmond, British Columbia is a Lower Mainland city situated on the border of Vancouver. It is less than 25 minutes by car from downtown Vancouver and is home to the largest airport in the province, Vancouver International Airport. It also has a wide range of public transit options, including a SkyTrain station, which makes it easily accessible. Richmond also has multiple post-secondary options, including Trinity Western University and Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU). Langara College is also nearby. Another draw for families is the housing market. While buying a home in Richmond will almost certainly cost a pretty penny, many of the homes here are large enough for families and feature yards. Plus, neighbourhoods are known to feature lots of parks, playgrounds, beaches, and programs for children. Minoru Park, Garden Point Park, McDonald Beach Park, and Iona Beach Regional Park are a few of the top ones in the area. There is no shortage of shopping in Richmond, either. From Richmond Centre Mall and Lansdowne Centre to the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet, you can find everything you need in this BC city. Finally, Richmond is home to Steveston Village, a small fishing town and cultural attraction for people of all ages. This quaint coastal village has everything, from museums and fish and chip shops to a fresh fish market and pubs.

Quality and diversity of education in Richmond

The Richmond School District, School District No. 38 serves this BC city, operating a range of public elementary and high schools in the area. There are also multiple post-secondary options right in Richmond, including Trinity Western University and Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU). Langara College is also not far.
