Where Homes Cost the Most — and the Least — in the GTA

TORONTO, ONT. — October 14, 2025 — New data from digital real estate platform Wahi reveals the most and least affordable neighbourhoods to buy a home in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In September 2025, Lawrence Park topped the charts as the most expensive neighbourhood with a median sold price of nearly $5 million, while the condo-dense neighbourhood of Yorkdale ranked as the most affordable, with prices under $500,000.

The analysis highlights striking contrasts between Toronto’s luxury enclaves, such as Forest Hill and York Mills, and more accessible pockets in North York, Vaughan, and Mississauga, where condos and townhouses continue to draw first-time buyers.

The report offers a detailed snapshot of the GTA’s five most expensive and most affordable neighbourhoods, reflecting how location, housing type, and lifestyle amenities shape affordability and buyer demand across the region.
