Joe Hughey, a Wahi Partner Realtor, has worked as a licensed Reatlor for six years in St. Thomas, Ont.

What do you love most about working as a REALTOR®?

I love helping others fulfill their dreams and feeling their excitement when you congratulate them on their new home. I also love the freedom and adventure [being a Realtor] brings, as well as the amazing people and friends you make along the way. The hunt for the right home for someone brings you closer to them — it’s like helping a friend. I also enjoy negotiating with other agents to bring the deal together and learning new tactics that I can use to help other people in real estate and in everyday life. 

Tell us about your experience working with Wahi.

Wahi has provided the best referrals I’ve ever had. They have a constant stream of amazing [leads] coming through. Everyone they have connected me with has successfully purchased a home. When working with Wahi, the buyers and sellers are ready to go. They are motivated and do not need any prodding. They are prequalified and sometimes just need a little help finding the right home for them.   

What steps were involved to become a Wahi Partner Realtor? 

The process was simple and straightforward.  I set up a profile, including the area in which I work, and then the referrals started coming through. There are no hidden fees, and the [client match system] is set up on a performance basis, which is the only way I do business.

Did the process save you time? 

The process has saved me hours. Wahi’s [client matching process]  is very streamlined. There is no lag time from the time Wahi finds a lead until the time they pass them on to me. Rather than hunting for buyers and sellers, they are now knocking on my door, so to speak.
