This part of Brampton is also close to Etobicoke Creek, a peaceful natural feature running through several parks and neighbouring communities.

The nearest shopping area to Parkway Belt is Sacha Sauda Plaza on the north end of the community. There is a variety of shops here including Punjab Sports Canada, New Silver Shop Brampton, and Elite Home Store. These shops are across Torbram Road from a plumbing supply store called PR Home Suppliers. This shop is around the corner from Majha Malwa Doaba and India Sajawat & Puja Hut, two religious goods stores. Not far from here you might purchase a gift for a friend from Gift Craft Ltd. or go for a quick browse at Point5ive Clothing. In the southern part of Parkway Belt, you can buy woodworking supplies at The Do It Yourself Woodworking Shop, or purchase your favourite comic books at Comic Warehouse.

A popular neighbourhood restaurant in the middle of Parkway Belt is Ann’s Grove Restaurant. This establishment serves traditional Caribbean recipes like jerk chicken with rice and peas, curry beef, and pelau. There are also western options on the menu such as wings and crispy fries. Another restaurant close to Ann’s Grove is BriSkit. This cozy venue offers slow-cooked brisket sandwiches as well as other casual favourites like hamburgers and poutine. There are also salads and veggie burgers available for those who prefer non-meat fare. Wally’s On Steeles is another homespun eatery in this general area.

The closest park to Parkway Belt is King’s Park off Dixie Road. This green area is divided by Etobicoke Creek and has three baseball diamonds. On the other side of Dixie Road, you will find Mount Charles Park, which has two baseball diamonds and a large, wooded area with a trail called Etobicoke Creek Trail. It runs northward and then westward beside Etobicoke Creek. This long and winding trail continues west for kilometres beside farm fields and under the 407. A small recreational space on the west side of Parkway Belt is Eastbourne Park. It has a playground and a long pathway running adjacent to the nearby community.

The nearest community centre to Parkway Belt with recreational facilities is Balmoral Recreation Centre. This centre has an indoor pool and a sauna/steam room. Some of its outdoor amenities include a splash pad and playground. This community centre hosts many classes, from fitness to children’s programs. Some of its fitness classes include Zumba, low-impact exercise, yoga, and muscle strength and conditioning. The centre also has a newly completed sports gymnasium with an FIBA court. One of the gyms in this area is Mackk Fitness.

Transit & Commute Times

The drive to downtown Toronto starts with Highway 410 heading southeast. After a few minutes, you will merge onto Highway 401 Express going east. After around 15 minutes you will turn south onto Highway 427. After another 15 or 20 minutes, you will merge onto the Gardiner Expressway. This will lead you into downtown Toronto by exiting at York Street. Arriving by public transit starts with a train ride from Bramalea Go Station. This will bring you to Union Station, in the south end of downtown Toronto.

This is a good place to live if you need quick access out of Brampton to downtown Toronto or elsewhere. Close to many highways and Brampton’s major roadways, it’s an easy ride out of town toward the many cities in the Greater Toronto Area. Not only is the area great for commuting, but there are also many storefronts for a range of commercial supplies. This is great if you’re a tradesperson or you simply need tools and supplies to do renovations or fixes in your home.
