Lytton Park sits roughly 20 minutes north of downtown Toronto and is considered part of North Toronto. It is one of the safest communities in the city and is perfect for families. Like the neighbourhoods its borders - Davisville, Lawrence Park, Bedford Park, Glen Park, and Forest Hill - Lytton Park is family living at its finest. The community is full of beautiful homes, prestigious schools, and endless green spaces. Homes are largely detached and semi-detached, built in the Georgian and Tudor styles. However, you will also find several apartment and condominium buildings along Yonge and Avenue Roads. In terms of education, the renowned Havergal College is located in Lytton Park, along with John Ross Robertson Junior Public School, St. Clement’s Early Learning, and Glenview Senior Public School. Lytton Park is surrounded by green space, from Herbert Begg Memorial Garden and Chatsworth Ravine to Lytton Sunken Gardens, Duplex Parkette, and the 4.2-acre Lytton Park after which the community is named. Residents will also enjoy several high-end boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores on Yonge Street and Avenue Road. Recreational facilities are endless, with the likes of the North Toronto Tennis Club, the North Toronto Lawn Bowling & Croquet Club, and the Otter Creek Centre. Finally, transportation to and from Lytton Park is made easy thanks to several TTC bus routes and the nearby Lawrence Station on Line 1 of the subway, in addition to the area’s close proximity to Highway 401. If a safe, welcoming, and family-oriented community with a convenient and idyllic location within Toronto is what you’re after, Lytton Park might be for you. This upscale neighbourhood offers the best of both worlds: access to all the urban amenities that Toronto has to offer in a quiet and serene locale.
