The most populous neighbourhoods within the City of Toronto include St. James Town, Church-Yonge, Bay Corridor, Kensington - Chinatown, Waterfront West, Annex, Waterfront Central, Moss Park, Regent Park, and Yorkville. Meanwhile, some of the neighbourhoods that have experienced the highest growth rates in the past five years include Liberty Village, the Distillery District, Old Toronto, North York, and South Etobicoke.
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is located on Toronto’s downtown waterfront. Meanwhile, Toronto’s main international airport is actually not located in the City of Toronto but in the neighbouring City of Mississauga. However, it can be easily accessed by public transit and the recently-launched Union-Pearson (UP) Express train line. In terms of public transit, Toronto residents can take advantage of the Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC) extensive network of buses, streetcars, and subways, which cover the majority of the city. There are also many plans in the works to expand public transit in the city, such as with two new subway extensions: the brand-new 15.6-kilometre Ontario Line and the extension of Line 2. GO Transit, operated by Metrolinx, offers intra-regional public transit service, connecting the City of Toronto with the Greater Toronto Area, while Via Rail offers access to cities big and small throughout the country. Both Go Transit and Via Rail have hubs at Toronto Union Station.
