Ten minutes by car from downtown Toronto lies Liberty Village. This trendy neighbourhood filled with young professionals and families is known for being a hub for technology startups and creative agencies. In Liberty Village you will find an array of converted industrial spaces, making it the perfect blend of old meets new. The neighbourhood has grown rapidly and now features all sorts of interesting boutiques, restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops, including School, Mildred’s Temple Kitchen, LOCAL Public Eatery, and Louie Craft Coffee. Further, colourful murals line the streets, so there’s always something interesting to look at, ranging from abstract graffiti to detailed portraits. The area also boasts a wide range of housing options, from new townhouses to spacious condominiums, and is well-served by public transit. There are a series of TTC bus and streetcar routes that go right through it. There are even plans for a King-Liberty GO Station in Liberty Village, which would connect the neighbourhood with the GTA. It is set to open in 2026. Plus, Liberty Village is only a stone’s throw away from Lake Ontario and Ontario Place, home to the Canadian National Exhibition each summer, along with all sorts of other concerts, festivals, and attractions for people of all ages. Ultimately, Liberty Village has something for everyone. It is close enough to downtown that residents can enjoy all that the Entertainment and Financial Districts have to offer while still being far enough away to retain its own unique urban charm.
