Northwest Sandalwood Parkway is a growing community around Mayfield Road and Hurontario Street, with new home developments continuing to be built. The surrounding neighbourhoods offer accessible shopping and dining amenities. Diverse cuisine can be found near this neighbourhood, spurred by the multi-ethnic community. Centuries before European settlers arrived here, Brampton<\/a> was the ancestral land of Indigenous Peoples. In the 1600s, European settlers arrived in the region and the chief of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation surrendered the area to the British Crown. Following this invasion, Brampton was named after the town of Brampton in Cumberland, England. <\/p>

By 1853, Brampton had evolved significantly enough to be incorporated as a village and later as a town in 1873. It wasn’t until 1974 that Brampton became a city. Over the years, immigration in the area has increased from 10,000 a year in the 1950s to over 600,000 new Canadians today. <\/p>

The picturesque streets of Northwest Sandalwood Parkway<\/a> feature newer subdivisions on tree-lined streets. The dense pockets of detached homes come in a variety of styles ranging from bungalows to spacious homes with 4+ bedrooms. <\/p>

Additionally, you’ll also find townhouse developments and semi-detached homes. This area continues to undergo urbanization with ongoing new home developments.<\/p>

Parkside Heights is a new community of townhome and single-family home developments. This project is in the pre-construction phase, offering an executive community with custom luxury homes.<\/p>

Several other new home developments are shaping this community, including Mayfield Village and Ellis Lane, among others. Home developers are drawn to the surrounding established community and close proximity to highways.<\/p>
