Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! Most participants of an informal Wahi survey of real estate market-watchers cited a weakening Canadian labour market as one of the main reasons to expect a rate cut from the Bank of Canada this Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nine-in-12 respondents to Wahi\u2019s latest Rate Outlook Panel say the central bank will step off the sidelines and embark on a 25-basis-point cut to the influential overnight rate at the central bank\u2019s next scheduled rate announcement on Sept. 17. This is roughly in line with the 80% odds of a cut previously reported<\/a> by The Globe & Mail<\/em> and follows Wahi\u2019s July survey in which market-watchers correctly and unanimously predicted a hold<\/a>.<\/p>\n
