But that modest increase doesn\u2019t tell the whole story: Fewer neighbourhoods had homes that sold over asking as buyers became more price-sensitive and cautious about where and when to make a move.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe&#8217;re definitely seeing a change in how people are buying homes,&#8221; said Benjy Katchen, CEO of Wahi. &#8220;Fewer homes are going for over the asking price, which shows that buyers in Calgary are being a bit more cautious amid the broader economic uncertainty. More buyers appear to be waiting on the sidelines, and activity slowed compared to the same period last year,\u00a0 Uncertainty around the broader economy and potential new tariffs may be contributing factors.
