Located on the southern shores of Georgian Bay, the broader region is brimming with spas, resorts, beaches<\/a>, and more. \u201cThere are definitely some romantic places,\u201d says Janet Piotrowski, a Broker at Royal LePage Locations North. \u201cScandinave Spa would be a great one \u2014 You can get a couples massage and then go and use the water facilities,\u201d she says.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Just 10 minutes from the slopes, the town of Collingwood<\/a> is bustling year-round. \u201cThere\u2019s some great little boutique-style hotels and some really nice restaurants,\u201d says Piotrowski, who wrote <\/span>A Foodie\u2019s Guide to Celebrating Special Occasions in South Georgian Bay<\/span><\/a>. \u201cThis is a getaway place \u2014 and its year-round.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The market:\u00a0<\/b>From historic red-brick homes in downtown Collingwood\u2019s heritage conservation district and large country estates closer to the mountains, to waterfront condos, the area boasts properties of all kinds \u2014 and for all kinds of buyers, too. \u201c[There are] condos near Blue Mountain Village that you\u2019re allowed to rent out on a short-term basis for people who are looking for investment properties,\u201d Piotrowski tells Wahi.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Be prepared to pay a premium in the Blue Mountains proper. From golf, boating, and al fresco dining in the summer, to snowmobiling, skiing, skating, and ice fishing in the winter, Muskoka is a romantic backdrop for near-endless activities. \u201cThere\u2019s much more activity in the summer, but if you\u2019re looking for a quiet winter wonderland getaway, with that romantic twist \u2014 or family-focused \u2014 Muskoka\u2019s a great option, especially if you\u2019re a winter-lover,\u201d Woof notes.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n In the Town of Bracebridge, known colloquially as Muskoka\u2019s Downtown, couples can wine and dine as well as stock up on supplies for a cottage getaway. \u201cThere\u2019s definitely great restaurants and great shopping year-round \u2014 and all of your cottage essentials can be had in these towns,\u201d says Woof, who also highlights Huntsville, the largest town in the region with a population in excess of 20,000.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n The town: <\/b>OK, Toronto\u2019s Distillery District technically isn\u2019t a town \u2014 but the neighbourhood\u2019s got all the charm of one. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of like a little village,\u201d says Jo Citro, a Realtor<\/a> at Royal LePage Terrequity Brokerage who is representing a penthouse listing in the neighbourhood. <\/span><\/h2>\n
