After several years of renting, Sheila and Thomas decided it was time to start building equity again by purchasing a home. The couple had previously owned two properties, so they were not new to homebuying.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They set their sights on Durham region, one of the more <\/span>affordable <\/span><\/a>regions in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), and eventually settled on making<\/span> Ajax <\/span><\/a>their home. Strategically located in the Durham region in Southern Ontario<\/a>, Ajax is close enough to downtown Toronto, where Sheila works, and not far from Scarborough, where their two adult children reside.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It was Sheila\u2019s husband, Thomas, who first came across Wahi through a Google search to find a REALTOR\u00ae. The couple were drawn to Wahi\u2019s Cashback Program, which gives homebuyers up to 1% cash back on their home purchase after closing \u2014 no strings attached. When homebuyers choose to work with Wahi they are matched with an in-house Realtor<\/a>, and after they buy a home, Wahi passes some of the commission they earn to the customer, which amounts to up to 1% of the purchase price.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sheila and Thomas were matched with Barb, a Wahi Realtor. After their first conversation with Barb, they felt comfortable using Wahi\u2019s services and were impressed by the level of professionalism and responsiveness. \u201cI found Barb to be friendly, and Wahi was willing to show us as many homes as we needed to see,\u201d says Thomas.<\/span><\/p>\n

The couple used the Wahi app to search for homes, book showings, and chat with their Realtor, which they found very convenient. \u201c[When we booked a showing online through the app], Wahi was prompt at getting back to us each time we wanted to see a home,\u201d says Sheila. \u201cAnd they answered our questions right away.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
