Even amid the rising cost of living and higher mortgage rates, the vast majority of Canadians who purchased a home in recent years have no regrets about it, suggests a new Wahi survey of Angus Reid Forum members.<\/span>

<\/span>Overall, 76% of Canadians who have purchased a home since 2019 say they don\u2019t regret the decision at all, according to <\/span>Wahi\u2019s 2024 Homeowner Happiness Survey.<\/span> \u201cWhile some homeowners are undeniably facing challenges today, there are a variety of reasons for them to feel confident in their decisions,\u201d says Wahi CEO Benjy Katchen. Owning a home is deeply ingrained in the culture, as <\/span>Canada\u2019s homeownership rate<\/span><\/a> sits at 66.5%, he adds. Meanwhile, homeowners <\/span>report a better quality of life<\/span><\/a> than their renting peers, and previous Wahi research has found that <\/span>1 in 3 Canadians<\/span><\/a> who bought a home with a partner say it improved their relationship.\u00a0
