There are more than 70,000 licensed real estate agents in the Greater Toronto Area, so how do you stand out in a sea of industry professionals? In addition to a <\/span>strong social media presence<\/span><\/a>, a creative brand or ad campaign can help turn heads \u2014 and generate leads.<\/span>

<\/span>Of course, when thinking outside the box, there are always risks. More than one real estate agent has had to issue an apology for a campaign that didn\u2019t quite hit the mark \u2014 or was just <\/span>deemed straight-up offensive<\/span><\/a>. However, the following five examples show it\u2019s possible to get lots of attention without offending potential clients!

1. This Lamb Sells Condos<\/b><\/h2>\n

Brad Lamb has <\/span>questioned the value of advertising before<\/span><\/a>. But the real estate developer and broker arguably made his name with his long-running series of <\/span>billboard ads<\/span><\/a>. The ads portray his now familiar face comically photoshopped onto the body of a lamb in various settings, including, inexplicably, <\/span>outer space<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>underwater<\/span><\/a>, and, somewhat more logically, <\/span>on the Toronto Islands<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 Of course, as with any outside-the-box branding exercise, <\/span>not everybody is a fan<\/span><\/a>!<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Real Estate by Bike\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

Toronto real estate agent Arty Basinski has set himself apart by riding his bicycle, rather than driving a luxury vehicle, to showings. It\u2019s a lifestyle choice reflected in his business\u2019 name: Real Estate by Bike. The fact that he\u2019s moonlit as a circus drummer<\/a> also contributes to his unique personal brand. However, he\u2019s perhaps most well known for the popular multimedia content he creates for his listings<\/a>. For example, a 2019 rap video<\/a> entitled \u201cLil Yellow House,\u201d which racked up nearly 70,000 views on Youtube and garnered national news coverage.<\/span><\/p>\n
