OpenAI\u2019s popular chatbot \u2014 which many people across a wide range of industries<\/a>, from gardeners to lawyers, use to answer questions or generate content by feeding the software prompts \u2014 has become a valuable aid for the real estate professional. Specifically, Johannes is among the REALTORS\u00ae who have started harnessing artificial intelligence to draft property listings. \u201cIt saved me so much time,\u201d Johannes told CNN<\/a>. While it used to take him up to an hour to write a listing, now, he says, he\u2019s able to generate listings in a matter of seconds.<\/p>\n

Johannes\u2019s use case is a relatively new but increasingly common example of how real estate agents are tapping into ChatGPT to work smarter as technology revolutionizes the broader industry<\/a>. Doing so, one expert suggests, has become even more important in a cooler housing market in which REALTORS\u00ae need to grind out each sale and find efficiencies wherever they can. \u201cAny REALTOR\u00ae who\u2019s not leveraging it for something like that (listings) is probably just wasting a little time,\u201d says Serge Reda, an adjunct professor at the Fordham Real Estate Institute and co-founder of the startup AlphaRithm AI<\/a>. \u201cAs an efficiency tool, I think it\u2019s valuable,\u201d he tells Wahi.<\/p>\n

More \u200b\u200bWays Realtors Can Use ChatGPT<\/b><\/h2>\n

ChatGPT\u2019s potential usefulness extends beyond listings. Social media is another area where REALTORS\u00ae are finding success with the chatbot. While a social media presence is critical<\/a> for top-performing REALTORS\u00ae, brainstorming ideas for content to post \u2014 and then creating the content itself \u2014 can be a real time suck. However, some users say that ChatGPT can help with both. \u201cI use it more for outlining marketing ideas, podcasting, and blog posts,\u201d Mark Savel, a salesperson at Sage Real Estate Ltd.<\/a> and co-creator of the Toronto Livings Real Estate Podcast<\/a>, tells Wahi. \u201cIt\u2019s like an espresso. It gets the juices flowing and allows me to add my own creativity to it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A second REALTOR\u00ae told CNN that he uses the app to draft legally binding paperwork, which he then hands off to lawyers for final approval. \u201cI fine-tune all kinds of drafts with ChatGPT,\u201d Andres Asion, a Miami-based broker, told the network. \u201cSometimes I\u2019ll tell it to make it shorter or funnier, and it gives you so many samples to pick and edit from.\u201d<\/p>\n

How to Use ChatGPT Effectively \u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

To get the most out of ChatGPT, experts say it\u2019s important to focus on the prompts. \u201cWriting good prompts is easy to pick up, but it’s difficult to master. Getting the AI to do what you want it to do takes trial and error,\u201d Anna Bernstein, a literal prompt engineer, <\/span>recently told Business Insider<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>
